Engine 812 is a second due engine / first due tender and responds to various alarms including structure fires, fire alarms, vehicle fires, natural gas emergencies, and brush fires. This vehicle has an approximate service life of 20 years depending on frequency of use.

This apparatus may be staffed with up to 6 firefighters and carries the following equipment:
  • 2,100 gallon porta-tank for rural water supply
  • 1,000-foot, 5-inch large diameter water supply hose
  • 1,250 gallon per minute pump
  • 2,000 gallons of tank water
  • 4 200-foot preconnected hose lines with varied nozzles for fire attack
  • 600-foot, 3-inch supply hose
