The placement of fresh flowers, artificial flowers, wreaths, memorials, candles, vigil lights and decorations on graves is allowed in all parts of Oakland and Elm Lawn City Cemeteries from April 1 to October 31. Shepherd's hooks or any wooden or metal frame or device to hold floral displays or other displays are also allowed. Winter decorations and covering for entire graves are allowed starting November 15 and will be removed based on weather under the direction of the Cemetery Department. The grave owner shall remove all such items for City of Princeton cemetery cleaning as announced by the Cemetery Department and published on this website and in the local newspaper.

Oakland & Elm Lawn Cemetery Fall and Spring clean-up schedule will be as follows:
After November 4th, city crews will be removing any remaining Summer and Fall decorations from Oakland and Elm Lawn cemeteries, in addition to turning over vases at Elm Lawn for winter.
After March 1st, city crews will be removing winter decorations and any old or worn out decorations from the cemetery.
After March 15th, city crews will be removing artificial wreaths to prepare for mowing season.
Please remove any decorations you would like to keep before these dates.
