The City of Princeton Planning & Zoning Office administers the zoning and building codes within the city corporate limits. Building permits for all residential and commercial development projects are issued through this office. In addition, plumbing permits, sanitary sewer connection permits, demolition permits, and sign permits are applied for at this office.

All matters regarding construction such as residential decks, fences, and swimming pools to commercial warehouses, must be reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Administrator. The Planning & Zoning Administrator checks that the project conforms to the zoning and building codes. Any variations from the codes need to be approved by the Princeton Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals before a building permit is issued.
